Children can have a cooked school lunch or, if parents prefer, can bring a packed lunch. There is always a choice of menu including a vegetarian dish and salad. Water is provided for children to drink.
If parents prefer to send their child with a packed lunch, it should also be a balanced meal. For more information on providing your child with a nutritious packed lunch please see our guidance letter, or visit the NHS Change4Life website for advice on healthy eating and living.
Parents may change arrangements if it is necessary but we ask that one week’s notice is given and there is only one change per term as orders for food are made well in advance.
School lunches are prepared and cooked by the external catering company Pabulum, you can view our school menu options here:
To further enhance our menu this season we have added more plant based ingredients such as grains, seeds and pulses. We are making it even clearer to the parents and children as to what is available every day by including on the menu the choice of 3 main courses with vegetables, 2 home baked breads, 8 salads, and our 3 desserts, along with our fresh fruit platter.Staff in the school office will advise parents of the cost of school meals and must be paid for in advance. Parents may pay for lunches for the half-term or term if they wish.
Families who are receiving specific benefits may be entitled to free school meals. For more information please speak to the staff in the school office.
If for any reason, either religious or medical, your child requires a special diet please let us know on the Admission Form. We will do our best to see that these requirements are met.
